Our team of 18 volunteers spent a week working on Long Island with the North American Mission Board in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. We completed several projects and got to spend a couple of days sight-seeing as well! For more info. about Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, visit: www.namb.net/disaster-recovery

At Springdale we are focused on becoming and making disciples of Jesus by "Connecting with God, His Family, His Work and His Ways." We have discovered that people who never get connected to or who get disconnected from God's Family soon get disconnected from God. His plan for us is to live together as His Family. He is our Father and we are all brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.
Family Connect (FC) Groups are the primary way we connect with God's family. They are designed around two concepts: "social interaction" and "spiritual dialogue." We eat, laugh, and share lives together. And we also discuss God's word and pray with one another. FC Groups are patterned after Acts 2:42: "They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."
Our Groups meet both in homes and on-campus on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30 pm. We also have groups for preschoolers, children and youth on campus at this time. Jesus told His Apostles, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you" (John 13:34). Our goal is to live together as His Family with the same love that Jesus has shown us.
You can get FC Group locations and contact information on the back table in the Sanctuary or by contacting the church office.
